Project Overview

Designed and simulated an enterprise network in EVE-NG featuring FortiGate High Availability (Active/Standby), VLAN segmentation, and multi-layer switching architecture to ensure redundancy and reliability.

Problem / Objective

Model a production-style enterprise network in a safe lab environment so that segmentation, redundancy, and failover can be designed and validated before deployment.

Network Architecture

A multi-layer topology separates core and access switching, with VLAN-based segmentation per department and a FortiGate HA pair at the edge for failover protection.

Implementation

Verification & Testing

End-to-end connectivity and failover were validated with standard diagnostic tools.

Lessons Learned
